Lawn Mowing Questions, Answered
The five things Fox Cities homeowners ask us most before they hire — straight answers, no fine print.
How much should I expect to pay for weekly lawn mowing?
Most Fox Cities homeowners land somewhere between $40 and $95 per weekly mow. Where you fall in that range comes down to four things: the size of the turf we’re actually cutting, how the yard is laid out, how many obstacles we’re working around (mature trees, planting beds, slopes, fence lines), and where you’re located in the Valley.
We don’t quote from satellite images or guess over the phone. We walk the property, then hand you a written quote with a full statement of work — what’s included, what isn’t, and the exact number. From there it becomes a flat monthly rate that doesn’t move whether the month holds four mow weeks or five. No per-visit invoices to reconcile, no bill that jumps in June.
Start to finish, getting quoted takes about 15 minutes of your time: online form, quick call, short on-site visit, written number.
What actually gets done during a mowing visit?
Every single visit — not “when it needs it,” not as an upsell — includes:
- Mowing at the correct height for the season (3 to 3.5 inches)
- Edging along drives, walks, and beds
- String trimming everywhere the mower can’t reach
- Blowing off every hard surface — driveway, sidewalk, patio
We also walk the lawn and clear debris before the first pass, so nothing gets shredded and thrown. Clippings get mulched back into the turf, which feeds nitrogen into your soil and cuts down what you need from fertilizer.
A few details you’ll notice that most crews skip: we show up in a branded truck and uniform so you always know who’s on your property, and we set out safety cones before we start. Cones cost us time on every stop. We consider them non-negotiable with kids and neighbors around.
How often will you come out, and will it be the same day each week?
You choose weekly or bi-weekly, and for properties that demand more, our Platinum package is fully customizable. Whichever you pick, you get a set day and a set crew — the same two things, week after week, all season.
That consistency isn’t a scheduling convenience, it’s the whole point. A crew that has cut your lawn eleven times knows where the sprinkler heads sit, which corner stays soft after rain, and how you like the beds edged. You’re not re-explaining your property to strangers every few weeks, and our guys can’t hide behind “I’ve never been here before.” It raises the floor on quality and it holds our team accountable.
Season runs from mid-to-late April through the end of October — we start when the grass tells us to, usually between April 15 and May 1.
Do I have to sign a contract to start service?
No contract, no cancellation fees, no setup fees. You get a written estimate so the price is unmistakable, but nothing you sign locks you in.
There’s also no minimum number of mows. Switching from another company in the middle of July is completely fine — your first invoice simply gets pro-rated to the day you start. And if you ever need to stop, tell us and we pro-rate your final month down to the week. You pay for what we delivered and not one visit more.
We’d rather keep your business by cutting your grass well than by burying an exit clause on page three.
What happens if it rains on the day you're supposed to mow?
We built the schedule around this, because in Wisconsin it isn’t an if.
Wednesdays and Saturdays are deliberately left open across our entire route as buffer days. When rain knocks out a scheduled day, the route slides forward by one day — not five, and not “we’ll catch you next week.”
That matters more than it sounds. A lawn that misses a full cycle in a wet Wisconsin June doesn’t just look shaggy; it gets cut too short on the recovery pass, stresses the turf, and leaves clumps that smother the grass underneath. Protecting those buffer days costs us route capacity every week. It’s the reason your lawn doesn’t pay for the weather.
Weekly & Bi-Weekly Lawn Mowing You Can Rely On
We offer weekly and bi-weekly lawn mowing from May 1 through November 1, depending on the service package you choose. Weekly mowing is included in our Platinum and Gold packages, while our Silver package offers bi-weekly mowing for homeowners who prefer a less frequent schedule.
We aim to service your property on the same day each week, weather permitting. When rain or severe weather causes a delay, your mowing will be completed on the next available service day as soon as conditions allow.
What’s Included With Our Lawn Mowing Service
Every lawn mowing visit includes full trimming around trees, fences, landscaping edges, and property borders. Trimming is performed during every service to ensure a clean, consistent appearance.
Grass clippings are mulched during regular mowing visits to promote healthy growth and reduce mess. When grass growth is heavier than normal, we may take additional passes to ensure an even cut without collecting clippings.
Spring & Fall Cleanup Services
Our seasonal cleanup services are designed to prepare your lawn for the growing season and properly close it down before winter.
Spring Cleanup Services Include:
- Trimming of perennials
- Blowing debris from landscape beds
- Collecting sticks and debris from the lawn
- Clearing debris from hard surfaces
- Bagging the lawn to remove debris and revive dormant grass
Fall Cleanup (Platinum Package):
- Scheduled once all leaves have fallen (typically November)
- Blowing leaves from landscape beds
- Bagging and removing all leaves from the lawn
- Leaf removal from the entire property when curb pickup is not available

What We Don’t Do (By Design)
To maintain reliable service and consistent quality, we focus strictly on residential lawn mowing and seasonal cleanups. We do not offer fertilizing, weed control, aeration, landscaping, hardscaping, or commercial lawn services.
By limiting our scope, we’re able to deliver dependable results without overextending schedules. If a homeowner needs services outside our offerings, we’re happy to refer trusted local providers.
